First Aid training is a mandatory part of your Expedition Training Syllabus

First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years.

We offer DofE Participants a 6hr nationally certificated Emergency First Aid at Work Course at a cost of around £30 per person. The course is delivered by a qualified First Aid instructor who is also a DofE leader. First Aid training at this cost is not often available. It will serve you in good stead in all sorts of work as well as personal circumstances and will enhance your Career/ Employment choices.

This course will be customised towards expedition first aid. It is very interactive and will include practical scenario work outside (weather permitting). The course is appropriate for Bronze, Silver AND Gold ventures and will include learning CPR techniques using a Resusci Annie each, as well as defibrillator, anaphylaxis and Epi-pen training

Two courses will be held, on two dates, only one of which is necessary to attend. Timing: 8.45am – 4pm. Venue: Gillingham School OR the Slade Centre – you will be advised nearer the time. You will need a packed lunch and comfy warm clothes. You will have your own 1st Aid book to take away

Dates – Saturday Dec 19 2020 and Sunday Jan 3 2021

We will need to split the group into two, with no more than 25 on each date – please therefore indicate all the dates you can do on the form and you will be confirmed as to which date to attend asap just after the deadline.

A form for 2020-21 is found here. Your fee is paid in entirety to the trainer.
