First Aid for the 2018 -19 Cohort
First Aid training is a mandatory part of your Expedition Training Syllabus
First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years.
This year we are offering DofE Participants a 6hr nationally certificated Emergency First Aid at Work Course at a cost of £30 a head – delivered by a qualified First Aid instructor. First Aid training at this cost is not often available. It will serve you in good stead in all sorts of work as well as personal circumstances and will enhance your Career/ Employment choices.
This course will be customised towards expedition first aid, is very interactive and will include practical scenario work outside (weather permitting). The course is appropriate for Bronze, Silver AND Gold ventures and will include learning CPR techniques using a Resusci Annie each, as well as defibrillator, anaphylaxis and Epi-pen training
Two courses will be held, on two dates: Friday 19 Oct 2018 (Gill School Inset Day) and Sunday 6 Jan 2019, both at the Youth Centre – only one of which is necessary to attend.
We will need to split the group into two, with no more than 30 on each date – please therefore indicate all the dates you can do on the form and you will be confirmed as to which date to attend asap on or just after the deadline.
8.45am – 4pm. You will need a packed lunch. You will have your own 1st Aid book to take away
Please fill in the form First Aid 2018-19 (19 Oct and 6 Jan) and return with payment. This fee is paid in entirety to Lifelline Training.
If there is any problem with affording it please speak to us in confidence.
